Abby Gordon is a Principal with Lateral Link with more than a decade of recruiting experience. Known for her deep understanding of both U.S. and international legal markets, she specializes in placing partners in markets across the U.S. and as Co-Chair of the London Desk, in UK and European markets. Abby works with counsel and associates across all practice areas, focusing primarily on the New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., and European legal markets. Abby also assists in-house legal departments to hire and retain top legal talent.
Before transitioning to recruiting, Abby practiced corporate law for seven years at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, advising on capital markets transactions for Latin American clients in New York and for the last five years for European clients in Paris, France.
Abby earned her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. in Government and Romance Languages, magna cum laude, from Dartmouth College. Between college and law school, Abby worked with the International Rescue Committee as a Fulbright Scholar in Madrid, Spain, then as a litigation paralegal with Hill & Barlow in Boston.
