Charisse Castroverde is a Senior Director based in California, where she focuses on attorney placements at law firms and in corporate legal departments, with particular depth in entertainment and media. She works with candidates from the first confidential conversation through offer and resignation, and is known for candid guidance: she is as willing to tell an attorney that a move does not make sense as she is to help them make it.

Charisse holds a B.A. from UCLA and a J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. Rather than enter practice, she built her career on the business side of the entertainment industry, spending seven years in legal and business affairs at Paramount, Universal, and ICM Partners, where she worked on talent, production, and content matters across film, television, and representation. That background is not incidental to her recruiting work. It gives her a firsthand understanding of how studio, streamer, and agency legal departments are structured, what those roles demand day to day, and why a move into one succeeds or quietly stalls.

She transitioned into legal recruiting as a Managing Director at Major, Lindsey & Africa, where her practice spanned associate and partner placements as well as law firm mergers and group moves, including the relocation of a boutique practice group from Southern California into a larger Los Angeles firm. At Lateral Link, she pairs that experience with the firm’s national platform, proprietary market data, and colleagues in every major legal market, giving California candidates access to opportunities well beyond the state. Charisse is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Philippine American Bar Association, and Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.

Outside of her work at Lateral Link, Charisse is happiest outdoors. She surfs, snowboards, runs, hikes, and camps, and travels whenever she can find the time. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, their two children, and five pets, a household that leaves very few quiet mornings.
