Yuliya Vinokurova (BA, Boston College ’01) is a key member of both Lateral Link’s Asia Team and US Partner Practice Group. She specializes in placing associates and partners with leading Am Law 100 and 200 firms as well as top-ranked midsize firms. Yuliya also places in-house counsel, with a particular focus on Asia based Big Tech companies. Over the past nineteen years in the industry, Yuliya has made hundreds of attorney placements in Asia and also many in the United States, Australia, the Middle East and in Europe.

Before joining Lateral Link, Yuliya co-founded and led Jowers Vargas, a well known and successful Hong Kong based boutique recruiting firm that operated for nine years.

Yuliya has had success in placing US attorneys at top law firms and in-house in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Moscow, London, Frankfurt, Zurich, Munich, Milan, Paris, Dubai, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Melbourne, Sao Paulo, Taipei, New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, Orlando, Boston, Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Miami. She has been a go-to recruiter for numerous top US and UK firms in Asia for many years, and has helped a number of major law firms open new offices in Asia and Europe.

Yuliya splits her time between St. Petersburg, Russia and Miami, and frequently travels to Hong Kong.

She has been in the attorney recruiting industry since 2006. Previously, Yuliya was a partner in a boutique real estate firm in Los Angeles for several years, and she began her professional career as a financial analyst at Accenture in New York, right after college. Yuliya considers herself both American and Russian, as she is a citizen of both countries and has strong personal ties and a love for both. Yuliya has worked and lived in Los Angeles, Boston, New Orleans, Miami, St. Petersburg and Hong Kong over the years.
